Long reins steering – with a handler

And today a video about first steering from the ground using long reins and with the help of the handler. Notice how much the presence of the handler helps the horse’s response to my requests despite the difficult wind conditions and the waving flags. Remember: professional training is composed, among other things, of presence and weight. Here I used the steering from the ground with long reins also to accustom the horse to presence with the help of the flags.

Training a Young Foal to Tie

Hello from Uri Pelegwww.uripeleg.org
Today we’ll be talking about training a young foal to be tied.

It’s not recommended to teach young foals to tie before the age of 3–4 months.
From around four or five months of age and onward, you can train the foal to stand tied for longer periods — but only if the foal has already been fully weaned, or at least partially weaned (I explain what that means in the video).

The most important condition for teaching a foal to tie is good leading training. Proper leading is an essential requirement before teaching tying.

Thanks to Hillel for filming.
Enjoy!
